Winter Storm Watch until 01:00AM Friday

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 7 inches possible. Winds could gust between 30 and 40 mph Wednesday evening with as high as 45 mph near the lake shore.

* WHERE...Cass MI, Northern Berrien, Southern Berrien, and St. Joseph MI Counties.

* WHEN...From Wednesday evening through late Thursday night.

* IMPACTS...Whiteout conditions are possible especially near the lake shore and may make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

* AFFECTED AREAS: CASS ... ST. JOSEPH ... NORTHERN BERRIEN ... SOUTHERN BERRIEN
