Rancho Cucamonga Man Dies after Encounter with an Unknown Male

SUSPECT(S): Unknown
VICTIM(S): Joshua Watson, 43-year-old Resident of Rancho Cucamonga
SUMMARY: On Monday, November 25, 2024, at approximately 7:39 p.m., deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Station were requested to respond to a report of man suffering injuries in the 13100 block of Joliet Drive. Upon arrival, deputies located Joshua Watson, injured and non-responsive. Watson was transported to a nearby hospital, and despite lifesaving measures, was pronounced deceased.
Detectives with the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division, Homicide Detail, responded and assumed the investigation. Investigators learned Watson arrived at his home and was contacted by a male subject. During the encounter, Watson received lethal injuries. The suspect fled the area before deputies arrived. The investigation is ongoing, and additional information will be released when available.
