Enrollment information for the 2025-2026 school year
The three free, mission-based public charter schools in Hoboken - Elysian Charter School, Hoboken Dual Language Charter School (HOLA), and Hoboken Charter School - are accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year.
Applications must be submitted to each respective school no later than 5 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025 to be entered into each school's randomized lottery. The three public schools are free, open to all Hoboken residents and do not have any entrance testing requirements. Because demand exceeds available seats, students are randomly selected for entrance to the schools through a lottery system. All three schools offer a weighted preference for Hoboken families who live in public or subsidized housing or receive public benefits. More information on each school as well as applications can be found on their websites: www.ecsnj.org, www.hobokencs.org, and www.holahoboken.org.
The Hoboken Public School District, the largest provider of free public education in the City, welcomes and enrolls all students on an ongoing basis. For more information on the Hoboken Public School District, go to www.hobokenschools.org.
