Donate to the HPD Toy Drive; Hoboken Holiday Market this Saturday; PATH Virtual Meeting Dec. 10; CAPS on Holiday Safety Dec. 11 

Donate to the HPD Sgt. Peter Zanin “Peachy” Toy Drive 

Residents are reminded that the Hoboken Police Department is collecting unwrapped new toys, games, books, and other gifts for children and teens as part of the 4th annual Sgt. Peter Zanin “Peachy” Toy Drive. 

Donation drop-off sites are as follows: 

  • Hoboken Police Headquarters, 106 Hudson St., 24/7 through Dec. 12.  
  • Hoboken City Hall, 94 Washington St., 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Dec. 12.   
  • Hudson County Tree Lighting, Columbus Park, 6 p.m. on Dec. 6.   
  • Hoboken Tree Lighting, 11th and Washington Streets, 5 p.m., on Dec. 11. 
  • HPD All-Day Outdoor Collection Drive, 106 Hudson St. 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Dec. 12. 
The toy drive is being held in conjunction with the City of Hoboken, the Office of Constituent Services, and FamilyHood.  

Shop the Hoboken Holiday Market Saturday, Dec. 7 

The City of Hoboken and the Hoboken Business Alliance invite community members to the annual Hoboken Holiday Market on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Damon Murray Community Gym at 605 Jackson St. 

The market will include activities for kids, including a holiday-themed bounce house from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., as well as crafters and vendors. For the first time this year the market will also include food trucks and a beer garden.

PATH terminal closure virtual info session Tuesday, Dec. 10 

Residents are reminded that the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey will host a virtual public information session regarding the upcoming closure of the Hoboken PATH Station at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10.

Representatives from PATH and PANYNJ will discuss the closure, as well as plans for travel alternatives while the station is closed for the month of February, during which time the station will undergo significant track and station upgrades.

December CAPS to focus on Holiday Safety 

The next Community and Public Safety (CAPS) meeting will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 11, at The Hive, 1000 Park Ave., from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.   

Residents are invited to meet with representatives of Hoboken Fire, Hoboken Office of Emergency Management, Hoboken Police, Hoboken EMS and Volunteer Ambulance Corps, and the Hoboken Health Division. Representatives from each division will make a short presentation regarding holiday safety, before a brief question and answer session.

Please be advised space is limited and attendance will be first come, first served. Coffee and a light refreshments will be served.
