Winter Weather Advisory until 03:00PM Thursday

* WHAT...Freezing rain expected. Total ice accumulations of a light glaze.

* WHERE...Anchorage north to the Matanuska Valley, west of Wasilla including Houston and Big Lake.

* WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to 3 PM AKST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Water flowing over snow and ice packed surfaces and a light glaze of ice on road surfaces could lead to hazardous travel conditions.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Areas of freezing rain will develop tonight. The best chance for steady freezing rain and development of a glaze of ice will be overnight tonight through the morning hours. Temperatures will warm above freezing in Thursday afternoon and precipitation will become all rain before tapering off in the evening. Residential areas with residual snow cover will be most impacted by the freezing rain.
