Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection with a July 2023 fatal shooting incident.
 
On July 4, 2023 at approximately 11:49 p.m., police were dispatched to the 700 block of East 10th Street in reference to a shooting incident that had occurred. Police located a 20-year-old male gunshot victim, who had succumbed to his injuries, a 33-year-old male gunshot victim who was transported to the hospital in critical condition, and an 18-year-old female gunshot victim who was transported to the hospital in stable condition. 
 
The 20-year-old gunshot victim who succumbed to his injuries was identified as Jehovah Clark.
 
The case was assigned to Detective Kevin Nolan of the Criminal Investigations Division. Through the course of his investigation, Detective Nolan identified the other male gunshot victim – Khiry Brown, now 34 – as a suspect in connection with Clark’s death. Detective Nolan presented the case to the New Castle County Grand Jury on December 2, and an indictment was returned for Brown.
 
Brown was taken into custody without incident on December 4, and has been charged with the following offenses:

• Murder (First Degree)
• Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony – Three Counts
• Assault (Second Degree)
• Reckless Endangering (First Degree)
• Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
