Newark Public Safety Director Miranda Offers Accolades fir Notable November Arrests
Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. offers accolades to Police Commanders, Detectives, and Officers for the below notable arrests in November 2024.
“I applaud the outstanding work of our detectives and Police Officers, under the leadership of their Precinct Commanders, in safely apprehending individuals suspected of jeopardizing the safety of our community last month,” Director Miranda said. “While these arrests represent a sample of the consistent hard work of Newark Police, it’s important that our residents and visitors are kept apprised that we are keenly focused on keeping our streets safe,” he added.
• Raekwon Allen, 28, of Newark, was arrested 11-24-24. He faces a charge of receiving stolen property.
• Tyrell Williams, 22, of Newark, was arrested 11-23-24. He faces charges of unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of prohibited weapons (hollow points), obstruction of the administration of the law, and resisting arrest.
• Kenny Jackson, 39, of Newark, was arrested 11-19-24. He faces charges of unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, CDS possession, and CDS distribution within 1,000 ft. of a school.
• Jeshaun Bazile, 19, of Nutley, and Ihzece Link, 26, of Newark, and a 17-year-old male, were 11-14-24. Bazile faces charges of obstruction, receiving stolen property, and burglary. Link faces charges of burglary, receiving stolen property, and obstruction of the administration of the law. The juvenile is charged with taking without the owner’s consent, obstruction of the administration of the law, and resisting arrest.
• Lisa Bellotti, 41, of Kearny, was arrested 11-13-24. She faces charges of theft, burglary, criminal trespass, and possession of drug paraphernalia for an incident that occurred on the same date at 300 Broadway. She is also charged with contempt of court for an outstanding warrant from Kearny.
These charges are merely accusations. Each suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
