Wilmington Police arrest two male juveniles, recover stolen vehicle:
Wilmington Police have arrested two male juveniles and recovered a stolen vehicle.
On December 3, at approximately 10:43 a.m., members of the Safe Streets Task Force – including members of Probation and Parole – were in the area of Lancaster Avenue and North Scott Street when they observed a stolen vehicle. Police attempted to conduct a vehicle stop in the area of Lancaster Avenue and South Adams Street, at which time the vehicle disregarded and fled, striking several vehicles in the area. A short time later, two male subjects fled from the vehicle on foot. Following a brief foot pursuit, police took a 15-year-old male juvenile, and a 13-year-old male juvenile into custody without incident.
The 15-year-old male juvenile has been charged with the following offenses:
- Receiving Stolen Property Over $1,500
- Resisting Arrest
The 13-year-old male juvenile has been charged with the following offenses in addition to traffic violations:
- Receiving Stolen Property Over $1,500
- Disregarding a Police Officer’s Signal
- Resisting Arrest
- Reckless Endangering (Second Degree) – Nine Counts
