The Marion Community Christmas Tree Lighting and Downtown Open House "Merry Marion" is set for TONIGHT, Thursday, December 5 beginning at 6pm at Town Hall. Free photos with Santa at the tree!
The Marion Christmas Parade wioll be held FRIDAY DECEMBER 6 at 7pm. No overnight parking on Main in the parade area please! Lineup is on South Main at Poston Street (volunteers will direct you to your staging area) beginning at 6pm. TRAFFIC WILL BE IMPACTED ALONG MAIN STREET FROM POSTON TO DABNEY FROM 6PM-8PM FOR THE LINEUP AND PARADE - TAKE ALTERNATE ROUTES.
With a frigid forecast, we're encouraging everyone to dress appropriately for the weather both nights.
Handicap parking for the parade will be at the lot beside the former Happy's building on North Main (as space allows).
