Road closures for this weekend:
Friday Dec 6 - The Buckhannon Fire Department Christmas Parade will start at 6:00p on Friday Dec 6. Line up will occur on Madison St, with the parade moving onto Locust St/Route 20 and traveling north to Main Street, then east to Friendly Way, and ending at the fire department where kids will have the opportunity to meet Santa Claus. The parade route will close at 5:50p. Main St will close at 5:15p to allow time for vehicles to be removed as needed pursuant to city ordinance.
Saturday Dec 7 - The annual West Virginia Dickens Faire will take place from 8:00a to 11:00p with numerous events in downtown Buckhannon. Main St will be closed 12:00p - 6:00p from Locust St/Route 20 to Spring St. South Spring St will be closed to Madison St.
Please plan any travel in the area accordingly and plan additional routes to bypass closed streets.
Barricades are in place for the safety of the event participants, visitors, and motorists. Remember, it is ILLEGAL to move or drive around placed barricades.
