Traffic Advisory: Holiday Tree Lighting tomorrow 12/06 @ 6pm. N. Wood Ave closed btwn Blancke & Elm St starting @ 5pm
Mayor Derek Armstead, the City of Linden, Uptown Linden, and the Linden Cultural & Heritage Committee invite you to join us for our annual Holiday Tree Lighting tomorrow night, Friday, December 6, at 6pm in front of City Hall. The festivities include horse and carriage rides around City Hall from 5pm-8pm, and a trackless train ride in the Knopf St parking lot from 5pm-7pm.
Immediately following the program, families are invited to join Santa, the Grinch, and Frosty the Snowman in the JTG Center behind City Hall for pictures and refreshments. Children 11 and under will receive a goodie bag from Santa, and can enter for a chance to win a new bike!
To facilitate this event, N. Wood Ave will be closed between Blancke St & Elm St beginning at 5pm. W. Blancke St, Knopf St, & Helen St will also be closed to vehicle traffic, and residents are encouraged to be mindful of posted parking restrictions in the area.
