Oakland City Police Chief Tim Gaines wanted to pass along some information about scam/junk mail that some area residents were receiving.
It appears to be mail that advertises giving police departments free equipment (likely funded by seeking donations), but to the best of thier knowledge, agencies are not receiving anything from this organization.
The mail also contained a dollar bill, so if you get one, you might check to see if you get some money in the mail before thowing it out!
