SUMMARY:
On December 5, 2024, deputies from the Victor Valley Station responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 12000 block of Air Expressway. While enroute, Deputies Sulikhanyan and Jauregui observed the vehicle travelling southbound on Hwy 395 and attempted a traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle, Armando Villareal, failed to yield, and a pursuit was initiated.
The pursuit continued south on 395 and onto the 15-freeway southbound with speeds exceeding 130 mph. Sheriff's aviation was overhead and assisted with the pursuit as it continued through San Bernardino into Redlands. Villareal entered a cul-de-sac, and in an attempt to escape rammed into both patrol cars, completely disabling one of the units and damaging the stolen vehicle to the point it could no longer continue.
Villareal was taken into custody and booked at the High Desert Detention Center. He is currently being held in lieu of $100,000.00 bail.
