On Friday, December 6, 2024, just before 8:30 PM, officers from the Absecon Police Department responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting an armed robbery at the Dollar General located at 603 White Horse Pike.
Upon arrival, officers were informed that a male suspect entered the store, brandished a handgun, and threatened employees while demanding cash. The employees complied with the suspect's demands before he fled the scene on foot.
Officers located an individual matching the suspect's description in the vicinity and initiated a foot pursuit. The suspect was observed running through residential yards before being detained by officers.
The investigation remains active at this time; therefore, the identity of the suspect is being withheld.
