COMMUNITY ADVISORY: Suspicious Drone Activity in Voorhees Area
COMMUNITY ADVISORY: Suspicious Drone Activity in Voorhees Area The Voorhees Police Department is aware of a recent uptick in suspicious drone activity in our area and is actively monitoring the situation. We want to assure our community that we are diligently following protocols established by the New Jersey State Police, the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness, and our federal partners, including the FBI, to address this matter. Drones, while useful for recreational and commercial purposes, can sometimes be misused, posing potential safety and security risks. Your vigilance can help us identify and address suspicious activities. If you observe a drone operating in an unusual or concerning manner, we encourage you to report it. Residents with photo or video evidence are urged to upload these files directly to the FBI’s secure tip submission site: https://tips.fbi.gov/. When reporting drone activity, please provide as much detail as possible, including: • The date, time, and location of the sighting. • A description of the drone (size, color, markings, etc.). • The direction the drone was traveling. • Any observed individuals operating or retrieving the drone. As always, your safety and the safety of our community are our top priorities. If you believe a drone poses an immediate threat, please call 911 or contact the Voorhees Police Department non-emergency number at 856-428-5400.
