Serious head injury – non-life threatening
DRIVER #2: 43-year-old male, Resident of Pennsauken, NJ
Minor injuries, refused medical treatment at scene
DETAILS: On Sunday, December 8, 2024 at 03:46 am, West Windsor Township Police’s Communications Center received a 911 call for a motor vehicle accident on US Route 1 South at Meadow Rd. Investigation on scene revealed that a 2017 Toyota sedan was traveling south on US Route 1 approaching the Meadow Rd. overpass when for unknown reasons, it struck a box truck in the rear that was also traveling southbound. As a result of the collision, the box truck tipped over on its side and came to rest.
West Windsor Division of Fire and Emergency Services #45, Princeton Junction Volunteer Fire Department #44, and West Windsor Volunteer Fire Department #43 responded to the scene. Driver # 1 was transported to Capital Health Medical Center at Fuld for treatment of a serious head injury. At the time of this report, he was listed in stable condition. The NJ Department of Transportation responded to the scene to assist with closing US Route 1.
