Woman Killed in Traffic Collision in Loma Linda; Investigation is Ongoing

INCIDENT: Fatal Traffic Collision
LOCATION: Redlands Blvd. / Richardson St., Loma Linda, CA
VICTIM(S): 66-year-old female resident of San Bernardino
SUMMARY: On Friday, December 6, 2024, at approximately 7:00 p.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department along with rescue personnel from Loma Linda Fire Department responded to a vehicle/pedestrian collision near the intersection of Redlands Blvd. and Richardson St. in the city of Loma Linda. Upon arrival, deputies determined a grey 2019 Toyota Camry traveled west on Redlands Blvd. As the vehicle approached Richardson St., the vehicle struck a female pedstrian in the roadway. The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries from the collision and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Deputies with the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T.) responded and assumed the investigation.
The west bound and east bound lanes of Redlands Blvd. remained closed for several hours while deputies conducted their investigation. The roadway was reopened at approximately 10:40 p.m.
