Wilmington Police have arrested a wanted Pennsylvania man on drug charges.
On December 5, at approximately 1:52 a.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division conducted a vehicle stop in the 600 block of North VanBuren Street. Police made contact with the driver – 25-year-old Sergio Bedolla-Cerritos of Kennett Square, PA, who was found to be wanted on an unrelated matter. Bedolla-Cerritos was taken into custody without incident, and found to be in possession of 5 grams of crystal methamphetamine. Following a brief investigation, police recovered 77 grams of cocaine.
Bedolla-Cerritos has been charged with the following offenses in addition to traffic violations:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver in Tier 3 Quantity
- Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 1 Quantity
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $62,000 cash-only bail.
