SUMMARY: On December 08, 2024, at approximately 3:28 P.M., deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department responded to the 12000 block of North Mainstreet regarding reports of a disturbance and subjects carrying a firearm. Deputies contacted four subjects, two of which initially fled on foot. One of the subjects, Marlon Gutierrez, was detained shortly after at a nearby parking structure. The other subject, Issac Cannon, was not located. A 16-year-old juvenile who was with the subjects was found to be in possession of a loaded firearm.

During the course of the investigation, deputies learned Cannon left in a vehicle and was at a local shopping center. As deputies attempted to contact Cannon, he fled in the vehicle and led deputies on a pursuit through Rancho Cucamonga and onto the 210 Freeway. The pursuit terminated after a deputy performed a Pursuit Intervention Technique (P.I.T. maneuver) on the vehicle. Cannon ran from the vehicle and was detained by deputies.

Gutierrez was arrested for resisting an executive officer and Cannon was arrested for felony evading. Gutierrez and Cannon were booked at the West Valley Detention Center. The 16-year-old juvenile was arrested for possession of a loaded firearm and resisting an executive officer. He was booked at San Bernardino Juvenile Hall.
