INCIDENT: Single-Vehicle Fatal Traffic Crash
LOCATION: Navajo Road south of Waalew Road, Apple Valley, CA
DRIVER 1: Anthony Gonzales, 47-year-old male resident of Apple Valley
VEHICLE 1: Gray 2006 Harley Davidson Road Glide
SUMMARY:
On Sunday, December 8, 2024, at approximately 7:10 p.m., deputies from the Apple Valley Sheriff’s Station and rescue personnel from the Apple Valley Fire Department along with American Medical Response responded to a single vehicle crash in the Town of Apple Valley.
Through investigation, deputies determined a gray Harley Davidson Road Glide traveled south on Navajo Road from Waalew Road. The motorcylist lost control and veered off the west roadway edge and crashed into the west dirt shoulder of Navajo Road. The driver was flown to a trauma center where he was later pronounced deceased.
Investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Major Accident Investigative Team (M.A.I.T) arrived and are conducting an investigation. Deputies processed the scene for evidence and interviewed witnesses. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
