South Brunswick Man Charged with Criminal Sexual Contact and Lewdness
Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone, Chief Raymond Hayducka of the South Brunswick Police Department, and Chief Kenneth Cop of the Rutgers University Police Department announced that a South Brunswick man has been charged in
connection with over 12 incidents of Lewdness and Criminal Sexual Contact that occurred from November 2023 to December 2024 within South Brunswick Township and Piscataway Township on the Rutgers University Campus.
Beginning in November 2023, the South Brunswick Police Department investigated multiple reports of a male performing lewd acts within the area of the Royal Oaks Apartment Complex in Monmouth Junction, NJ. In October 2024 to December 2024, the Rutgers University Police Department began investigating multiple incidents of a male performing lewd acts inside the Dickson Carr Library located at 74 Avenue E, Piscataway. During the investigation, the Rutgers University Police Department identified the suspect as a current Rutgers University student, Jihad Goines, 21, of the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick. Further investigation revealed evidence linking Goines to the South Brunswick incidents.
