...MIXED PRECIPIATION INCLUDING FREEZING RAIN EXPECTED TODAY... .A storm system continues to lift northeast this morning bringing a mix of freezing rain, sleet, and snow. Highest ice accumulations are expected across northeast Iowa with two to three tenths of an inch of ice accumulation, but at least a glaze of ice to a tenth of an inch possible elsewhere. Freezing precipitation can quickly cause hazardous road conditions. Higher ice amounts can also result in fallen trees and power lines leading to power outages.
