LOCATION: Grand Avenue and State Route 71, Chino Hills
SUSPECT(S): Andrew Torres, a 49-year-old resident of Hacienda Heights
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Friday, December 13, 2024, Chino Hills Multiple Enforcement Team deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Grand Avenue and State Route 71 in Chino Hills for vehicle code violations.
The driver, Andrew Torres, had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Deputies recovered methamphetamine, narcotic paraphernalia, a large amount of ammunition, and an unserialized loaded handgun (ghost gun) from the vehicle.
Torres was arrested and booked at West Valley Detention Center for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, ammunition, and possessing narcotics with a loaded gun.
