Flood Advisory until 09:30PM Monday

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of East Arkansas, including the following county, Crittenden, North Mississippi, including the following counties, DeSoto and Marshall, and West Tennessee, including the following county, Shelby.

* WHEN...Until 930 PM CST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 620 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Up to 0.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Bartlett, Southaven, Collierville, Germantown, Olive Branch, West Memphis, Horn Lake, T O Fuller State Park, Cordova, Memphis, Lakeland, Arlington, Walls, Anthonyville, Midtown Memphis, Southeast Memphis, Whitehaven, Downtown Memphis, Southwest Memphis and Frayser. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
