One Arrested for DUI
Early Sunday morning, around 2:40AM, Novato Police Officers and Novato Fire personnel responded to the 7100 block of Redwood Blvd for a vehicle collision. Preliminary investigation revealed the driver of the pictured Honda minivan struck four parked cars while traveling north on Redwood Blvd. The force of the impact dislodged the rear passenger side door from the minivan.
The driver was identified as Jose Alfredo Baeza Cruz, a 28-year-old Novato resident, and was arrested for DUI. Baeza Cruz was safely booked into the Marin County Jail after receiving precautionary medical clearance at NCH. There were no other reported injuries.

The Novato Police Department continues to prioritize enforcement of impaired drivers and create safer roadways for our community.
