DATE/TIME: Wednesday, December 11, 2024 / 7:10 p.m.
INCIDENT: Weapons Violation
LOCATION: 18000 block of 14th Street, Bloomington, CA 92316
VICTIM: The People of the State of California
SUSPECT: Brandon Fite, a 32-year-old male resident of Bloomington
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at approximately 7:10 p.m., Deputy Nunez responded to an unknown problem at the 18000 block of 14th Street in the unincorporated county area of Bloomington. The incident was later found to be related to a domestic disturbance. Sheriff’s Aviation assisted and observed an adult male, later identified as Brandon Fite, run from the incident location carrying two assault rifles. Fite jumped the rear fence into the back residence, threw the rifles, and hid in a shed.
Deputies made several announcements for Fite to come out, but he initially refused to comply. After the announcements and a brief stand-off, Fite peacefully surrendered and was detained without incident.
Deputies recovered an unregistered “Draco” AK-47 and an unregistered short-barreled rifle, both with extended magazines and armor-piercing ammunition rounds. A search warrant was served shortly after and deputies located additional ammunition and a “MAC 10” replica firearm.
Fite was arrested and booked on several weapon violations at the West Valley Detention Center.
