1. Vehicle Pursuit (1132) Stanislaus Street and Worth Street, Seaport District
An officer attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation when the driver failed to stop, leading the officer on a short pursuit. The suspect eventually stopped and was taken into custody without incident. ARRESTED: Eduardo Navarro-Maravilla, 30, for evading and traffic violations.
2. Resisting Arrest (1448) 400 Block of North Sutter Street, Civic District
Officers responded to the area to assist the Stockton Fire Department with a possible armed suspect who had started a fire at the park and refused to leave. When officers arrived, the suspect refused the officers’ commands to get on the ground, officers deployed a taser to take the suspect into custody. ARRESTED: Nicholas Lamar Turner, 34, for criminal threats, arson, and resisting arrest.
