Representatives from the NC Department of Public Safety will be at the County Administration Building located at 289 N. Main Street in Rutherfordton today, Wednesday, December 18th to assist County residents who may have lost or had significant damage to their home due to Hurricane Helene. Property owners can apply for the Hazard Mitigation Grant to cover the costs of home elevations, property buyouts or for land stabilization. Representatives will be available from 9:00am to 6:00pm.
