Wilmington Police have arrested a man on drug charges following an investigation.
Beginning in November, members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division have been conducting an investigation into illegal drug sales in the 100 block of West 27th Street. On December 12, at approximately 1:21 p.m., police executed a search warrant in that block and took 44-year-old Mark Watson into custody without incident. Police recovered 52.9 grams of marijuana, 20 Ecstasy pills, 40 ml of Promethazine, and drug paraphernalia.
Watson has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver – Two Counts
- Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 1 Quantity
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was released on $11,100 unsecured bail.
