A winter storm is forecast to bring widespread accumulating snow to the region Wednesday night through Thursday. A band of 4-7 inches of snow is expected to fall from western Minnesota to central Minnesota into west-central Wisconsin. Lesser snowfall amounts will occur to the south and west of the band. Strong winds will also cause blowing snow and potentially reduced visibilities, especially across western and southwestern Minnesota.

* WHERE...Barron, Polk, Rusk, Chippewa, Dunn, Eau Claire, Pepin, Pierce, and St. Croix Counties.
