INCIDENT: P.C. 29800(A)(1)- Felon in Possession of a Firearm, P.C. 30305(A)(1)- Convicted Felon in Possession of Ammunition, H&S 11350- Possession of a Controlled Substance, P.C. 148(A)(1) Obstruction of a Peace Officer, V.C. 23152(G)- Driving Under the Influence of Drugs and Alcohol
LOCATION: Arrowhead Dr / Homoa Road, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Daniel Martin Gomez Castillo, 30-year-old Resident of Burbank
SUMMARY: On Monday, December 16, 2024, at approximately 2:29 p.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Department were dispatched to the area of Arrowhead Drive and Homoa Road for an unknown disturbance in the street.
Deputies arrived on scene and contacted Daniel Martin Gomez Castillo. Castillo retrieved a firearm from his jacket pocket and appeared to experience a mental health episode as he spoke with deputies. After a short time, deputies detained Castillo. Deputies recovered a loaded firearm and suspected narcotics.
Daniel Martin Gomez Castillo was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto, for H&S 11370.1(A) - Possession of a Controlled Substance While Armed, P.C. 25850(A) - Carrying a Loaded Firearm in Public, P.C. 29800(A)(1 )- Felon in Possession of a Firearm, P.C. 30305(A)(1 )- Convicted Felon in Possession of Ammunition, V.C. 23103(A) - Reckless Driving, H&S 11350- Possession of a Controlled Substance, P.C. 148(A)(1) - Obstruction of a Peace Officer, V.C. 23152(G) - Driving Under the Influence of Drugs and Alcohol
