The following is a synopsis of crimes reported for the week of December 8, 2024 – December 14, 2024.
December 8, 2024
2600 Block of Calle Martos. Between 4 PM on November 27, 2024 and 3 PM on December 8, 2024, the suspect(s) unknown entered the location by shattering a rear window. Once inside, the suspect(s) ransacked the location and stole unknown items. No surveillance video is available. Unknown loss at the time of the report.
1600 Mountain Avenue (Walmart). On December 8, 2024 at 11:50 PM, the suspect, a male white adult wearing a brown camouflage sweater and blue jean pants, was observed inside the location after hours holding a pair of bolt cutter. Employees attempted to contact the suspect and told him to leave. The suspect walked to the front of the location where the front doors were closed and locked. The suspect proceeded to smash the window with the bolt cutters and fled the location on foot and out of view. Surveillance video is available. No loss at the time of the report.
- Grand Theft (Shoplifting):
1450 Mountain Avenue (Best Buy). On December 8, 2024 at 1:17 PM, the suspects unknown, a male hispanic adult dressed in a green hoodie and blue jean pants and a second male hispanic adult wearing a white hoodie and black “Adidas” sweatpants, entered the location, went directly to the sales register, and grabbed two “Sony PlayStation 5” consoles each. The suspects exited the location without attempting to purchase the items and fled the location in an early 2000’s silver Chevy Cavalier with no license plates. The loss was approximately $2,250. Surveillance video is available.

- Burglary is entering a structure or locked vehicle with the intent to steal or to commit another crime inside of the structure.
- enters a building / occupied structure or locked vehicle, and
- does so with the intent to commit a theft or felony.
