Winter Weather Advisory until 10:00PM Saturday

* WHAT...Lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches where bands are most persistent, mainly across northern and eastern Portage County and much of Trumbull County. Locally higher amounts in excess of 6 inches are possible in northern Trumbull County. Amounts decrease across southern Portage County.

* WHERE...Portage and Trumbull Counties.

* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 10 PM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions with slower travel likely.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Untreated surfaces have the potential to turn slick this evening as light snow showers continue and temperatures drop below freezing. Heavier lake effect snow bands are expected to begin developing after midnight and into Saturday morning. The main focus will be a narrow band of heavier snow with a connection to Lake Huron, which may become persistent across Trumbull County for much of Saturday while drifting into Portage County at times.
