On Sunday, January 19, from 6:30 a.m. to approximately 11:00 a.m., the Jekyll Island Marathon, Half Marathon & 10K will occur on the island.
Starting on Stable Rd, between the entrance to Mosaic, Jekyll Island Museum, and Shell Rd., then running in the Northbound lane of Riverview Dr., on island bike paths, and the Northbound lane of Beachview Dr., just north of Albright Lane to end in the Historic District in front of the Jekyll Island Club Resort.
The island will experience temporary road closures during this time. Temporary traffic delays may be experienced along Shell Rd. and Captain Wylly Rd.
Be advised that there will be brief traffic delays and road congestion throughout the island, as the races occur. Bicyclists and pedestrians should be cautious when sharing the paths with race participants and may experience momentary delays. Please plan your travels ahead of time and use caution while driving around the island.
