Two Former Employees of Store Arrested for Robbery and Conspiracy in Yucca Valley

INCIDENT: PC 211 - Robbery & PC 182 - Conspiracy to Commit a Felony
LOCATION: Tractor Supply - 57980 Twentynine Palms Highway, Yucca Valley
SUSPECT1: Indica Carey, 26-year old Resident of Yucca Valley
SUSPECT 2: Clara Power, 34-year old Resident of Yucca Valley
VICTIM(S): Tractor Supply
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, December 18th at approximately 8:30 PM, two suspects entered the Tractor Supply in Yucca Valley prior to closing. Clad with masks partially concealing their identities, the suspects approached the counter to purchase a small item. Once the cashier opened the cash register, the suspects forcefully stole the cash register from the clerk and fled the location.
Within minutes, Morongo Basin Station deputies arrived on-scene and initiated their investigation. As a result of this investigation, deputies determined both suspects were previous employees. Deputies conducted an area check for the suspects and followed shoe impressions for approximately two miles, where they located loose currency, articles of clothing worn by and discarded by the suspects, and the damaged cash register. The deputies' relentless pursuit directed them to the 5000 block of Yucca Mesa Road, where the suspects barricaded themselves in a residence.
Morongo Basin Station deputies authored a search warrant and both suspects were located and taken into custody. During the search of the residence, deputies located additional evidence from the robbery.
Arrested in this matter was Indica Carey, a 26-year old resident of Yucca Valley and 34-year old Clara Power, also a resident of Yucca Valley. Both suspects were booked into the Morongo Basin Jail on charges of PC 211, Robbery, and PC 182, Conspiracy to Commit a Felony.
