Man who Burglarized Home while Residents were on Vacation is Identified and Arrested

LOCATION: 4600 block of Bird Farm Road, Chino Hills
SUSPECT(S): Demetrius Dion Rogers, a 21-year-old resident of Moreno Valley
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Saturday, November 4, 2023, a residence was burglarized in the 4600 block of Bird Farm Road in Chino Hills. The family was away for vacation and returned home and found the suspect had forcibly entered their home and stole $60,000 in cash and jewelry. Deputies contacted the victim and processed the home for evidence. Evidence was collected, but no other investigative leads were available.
The case was assigned to Chino Hills detectives, who worked with the San Bernardino Sheriff's Department Crime Lab to process the evidence collected. Through investigation, Demetrius Dion Rogers, a Riverside County probationer, was identified as the suspect.
On Thursday, December 19, 2024, Chino Hills detectives arrested Rogers and booked him for residential burglary at West Valley Detention Center.
