Narrative:
A Moorpark resident was arrested for criminal threats, brandishing a firearm, felon in possession of a firearm, and felon in possession of ammunition.
 
On November 17, 2024, a victim reported being verbally threatened by Pasos Jr.  During the incident Pasos Jr. also brandished a handgun to reinforce the verbal threat to the victim.
 
Moorpark Special Enforcement Unit (SEU) Detectives launched an investigation into the incident and determined Pasos Jr. is a convicted felon, prohibiting him from possessing / owning firearms and / or ammunition.   
 
On December 17, 2024, detectives assigned to Moorpark SEU and Moorpark Investigations, with the assistance from Moorpark Patrol and Todd Road Jail Classification Unit Deputies contacted and arrested Pasos Jr. for criminal threats and brandishing a firearm. A residential search warrant was served at Pasos’ residence in the 400 block of Bard Street in Moorpark. During the service of the search warrant, a .22 pistol, a .357 Magnum revolver, and several rounds of live ammunition were recovered.
 
Pasos was booked at the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility for violations of: PC 422 – Criminal Threats, PC 417(a)(1) – Exhibiting a Deadly Weapon, PC 29800(a)(1) – Own / Possess / Control Firearm by Felon, and PC 30305(a)(1) – Own / Possess / Control Ammunition by Felon.
