1. Strong Arm Robbery (0442) Fontana Avenue and Country Club Boulevard, Civic District
The seventeen-year-old victim was walking in the area when the suspect approached him. The suspect demanded the victim’s property and fled with the victim’s property. SUSPECT: Hispanic male in his forties.
2. Assault with a Deadly Weapon Arrest (0550) 5200 Block of Cosumnes Drive, Bear Creek District
The male victim, 52, was at home when the known suspect threatened the victim with a knife. The suspect pushed the victim against the wall and pressed the knife against the victim. After the suspect repeatedly threatened to harm the victim, officers entered the residence and took the suspect into custody. While in handcuffs, the suspect resisted and was placed in a SAFE wrap device to prevent him from harming himself or the officers. ARRESTED: Maxwell Scott Denero, 23, for assault with a deadly weapon, criminal threats, false imprisonment, kidnapping, and resisting arrest.
