Subject Arrested for Narcotic Sales

On 12/26/2024, at approximately 12:09 PM, Officers with the Petaluma Police Department Community Impact Response Team (C.I.R.T.) responded to a citizen report of an individual selling narcotics in the area of Hopper St. and Caulfield Ln.
 
Officers located a subject matching the description provided by the citizen and initiated an investigation. During their investigation, they discovered the subject, who they identified as Jesus Orosco (47, San Rafael), was on active Parole. During a Parole search, Officers located just under a quarter pound of methamphetamine packaged for sale.
 
Officers arrested Orosco for possession of methamphetamine for sale and he was later transported to the Sonoma County Jail where he was booked for the above listed charge in addition to a Parole Hold.
 
The Petaluma Police Department Community Impact Response Team continues to address various community concerns, one of which is drug sales. Illegal controlled substances continue to affect our community, and the Petaluma Police Department continues to strive to improve the quality of life of all its community members.
