The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from 10 AM to 6 PM CST Monday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
* AFFECTED AREA...The central and western Concho Valley and Northern Edwards Plateau including Sterling, Coke, Irion, Tom Green, Schleicher, Crockett, and Sutton Counties.
* TIMING...From 10 AM to 6 PM CST Monday.
* WINDS...West 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...10 to 15 percent.
* TEMPERATURES...well above normal readings in the upper 70s to mid 80s.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Any outdoor activity that could produce flames or sparks is discouraged.
* AFFECTED AREAS: STERLING ... COKE ... IRION ... TOM GREEN ... CROCKETT ... SCHLEICHER ... SUTTON
