Winter Storm Watch until 10:00AM Saturday

* WHAT...For the Winter Storm Warning, heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations up to 3 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. For the Winter Storm Watch, heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 8 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Northwest Pocahontas and Southeast Randolph Counties.

* WHEN...For the Winter Storm Warning, until 4 AM EST Thursday. For the Winter Storm Watch, from late Thursday night through Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. The strong winds and weight of snow on tree limbs may down power lines and could cause sporadic power outages. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning and evening commutes.

* AFFECTED AREAS: NORTHWEST POCAHONTAS ... SOUTHEAST RANDOLPH
