Twitty Charged with Car Theft
Detective Grant Robinson with McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 35-year-old Christopher Joel Twitty, Jr., of Marion with felony Larceny of a Motor Vehicle and felony Obtaining Property Under False Pretense. He was given a secured bond of $20,000.
On February 21, Detective Robinson spoke with a Marion resident in reference to a motor vehicle theft that occurred in October 2023. The owner of the vehicle was no longer living at the residence where it was taken from and had recently discovered it missing. The vehicle, a 2008 Honda Civic, had an estimated value of $6,000.
Camera footage from a local scrap metal dealer revealed Twitty selling the vehicle to the business.
