Incident: Theft Suspects Arrested, One Under New Prop 36 Law

Occurred Time: 5:03 PM
Location: 80 E. Washington St, Petaluma
Suspect: Dylan Beck (29-year-old Petaluma resident)
Hanna Fredrickson (32-year-old Petaluma resident)
On 01/02/2025 at approximately 5:03 PM, the Petaluma Police Department Dispatch Center received a call from a local business stating two suspects had just stolen a cart full of items and fled. Responding officers received information that the suspects had fled in a vehicle, and the reporting party was able to provide a license plate.
Officers conducted the investigation and developed information where the suspects may have fled to. Petaluma officers responded to a residence in the county jurisdiction of Petaluma to attempt to locate the suspects.
Officers made contact with Beck and Fredrickson, one of which was on parole and the other was on felony probation. A search of the residence yielded the stolen items, which lead to both of the suspects being placed under arrest.
It was determined that Beck was currently on parole and had at least two prior convictions for theft. Beck was arrested for the following charges:
3056 PC- Parole Violation
666.1 PC- Theft with two prior convictions (Prop 36)
182 PC- Conspiracy
Fredrickson was placed under arrest for the following charges:
1203.2 PC- Felony violation of probation
484 PC- Theft (Less than $950.00)
182 PC- Conspiracy
Both Beck and Fredrickson were transported to the Sonoma County and booked.
