ARRAIGNMENT/BAIL STATUS: Sanyet-Malpica was processed at Amsterdam Police Headquarters where he was arraigned in Amsterdam City Court in front of the Honorable Judge Lisa W. Lorman and remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
INCIDENT NARRATIVE: After further investigation into the homicide that occurred on James Street in the City of Amsterdam on December 18th, 2024, a second arrest was made on December 30th 2024. Through the active and ongoing investigation information was developed that Sanyet-Malpica was involved in the shooting death of 34 year old Robert M. Green Jr. Sanyet-Malpica was located on Slater Street and taken into custody during the execution of a search warrant.
The investigation into this crime is not yet complete and the investigative team will continue to gather information and develop identities of other possible suspects involved. The weapon used in this crime has not been recovered.
The investigation is ongoing and further arrests and charges are possible.
