LOCATION: Silver Lakes/ Barstow
SUSPECT: Luis Bravo, 44 years of age, resident of Barstow
SUMMARY: On Sunday, December 29, 2024, at approximately 9:01 p.m., deputies responded to a suspicious person call in Silver Lakes, near the fire station. According to the caller, a male adult was driving a black Dodge Ram and possibly had a firearm inside the vehicle.
Deputies contacted the driver, 44-year-old Luis Bravo. Deputies located a loaded firearm under the driver’s seat of his vehicle and an unregistered Glock with one round in the chamber. He was found to be under the influence of methamphetamine and in possession of drug paraphernalia.
Luis Bravo, a convicted felon prohibited from possessing firearms and ammunition, was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center.
On Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at 9:24 a.m., deputies served a search warrant at Bravo’s residence in the 29300 block of Dryden Street in Barstow. Numerous illegal weapons, ammunition magazines and ammunition were located inside his residence.
