Special Weather Statement until 03:15PM

Several bands of snow showers will cross through the region this afternoon. One of the heavier bands extended from Greenbrier County West Virginia to western Tazewell County, Virginia and was moving southeast at 30 mph. Plan on bursts of moderate to heavy snow with accumulation on the roads and sidewalks. Visibility will also be reduced due to heavy snowfall rates combined with wind gusts of 20 to 30 mph. Use caution while traveling. Conditions may change rapidly over a very short distance.
