Wilmington Police have arrested a man on drug charges.
On January 2, at approximately 12:39 p.m., members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division were in the 700 block of North Tatnall Street when they observed a male subject engaged in drug-related activity. Police made contact with 28-year-old Johnnie Cooper, who was taken into custody without incident. Police recovered .24 grams of heroin, 2.64 grams of crack cocaine, 4.7 grams of marijuana, and $426.
Cooper has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver – Three Counts
- Tampering with Physical Evidence
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $5,000 unsecured bail.
