Winter Storm Warning issued for Cape May County through 1 am Tuesday, January 7th 
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Southern New Jersey, impacting Cape May County from 1 am Monday through 1 am Tuesday. Snow accumulations are anticipated to be between 5 and 10 inches.
Widespread accumulating snow will create hazardous road conditions, so please avoid any unnecessary travel. If you have to drive, be mindful of icy conditions into the evening hours. If you live along a snow route, please be aware of "no parking" signage to allow snowplows to access the roadway.
Public Works will be following the trash collection schedule for Monday, January 6th. In the event of a long-term power outage, the Wildwood Crest Firehouse, located at 7100 Pacific Avenue, will be used as a warming center and temporary shelter. Please keep pets inside and check on elderly neighbors frequently. In the event of an emergency, please call 911.
