Police Investigating Fatal Early Morning Traffic Collision on Lopes Road 
This morning at around 12:30 am a traffic collision occurred on Lopes Road near Silver Creek Road.
One vehicle was traveling northbound on Lopes Road while a second vehicle was traveling southbound.
One vehicle crossed over the double yellow lines and struck the other vehicle head-on.
A 28-year-old woman was transported to a local hospital, but unfortunately succumbed to her injuries.
The other driver remained on scene and was cooperative with police.
The Traffic Division responded and took over the investigation.
There is no further information at this time as the investigation remains ongoing. As next-of-kin notifications are pending, the victim’s name will not yet be released.
