* At 313 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm was located over Montgomery, or 11 miles east of Natchitoches, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include... Winnfield, Montgomery, Georgetown, Calvin, Atlanta, Joyce, Williana, St. Maurice, Bermuda, Melrose and Cypress.

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large hail. Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built structure. Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 600 PM CST for portions of north central and northwest Louisiana.
